South Alabama Athletic Hall of Fame
Sean Collins is one of the most decorated pole vaulters in South Alabama history. A three-time NCAA All-American, he captured six Sun Belt Conference titles, with four coming during outdoor season and two during indoor season. He earned eighth place at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Finals and recorded three top-six finishes at the NCAA East Preliminary Round. He holds the second-highest pole vault clearances in both the South Alabama outdoor and indoor record books. As a freshman in 2016, he was named Sun Belt Freshman of the Year after setting new school, league, and Sun Belt Championship standards with a clearance of 5.51m. That same year, he earned First-Team All-American recognition by finishing second at the NCAA Indoor Championships. His excellence also extended beyond athletics, as he was honored as a 2019 Academic All-American.
