South Alabama Athletic Hall of Fame
Cindy Rainville was inducted into the Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility, having lettered in women’s soccer from 1998-2001. Perhaps the greatest player in the young history of the program, she is the only on to have her jersey retired. A two-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection (2000-01), she was also named to the league’s 30-Year Anniversary Team in 2006. She became the first player in school history to surpass the 100-point mark in her career, finishing as he all-time scorer with 120 points. She also holds school records for career goals scored (45), career goals scored (45), career assists (30) and career shots (154). A native of Ontario, Canada, she guided USA to the 2000 Sun Belt Conference regular-season championship, later earning all-tournament honors.
