Renaldo Frechou earned three All-America honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, including first-team recognition in 2014 and 2015. He dominated the Sun Belt Conference in the hammer throw, winning the event all three years, while also contributing in the indoor weight throw with fourth- and sixth-place finishes as a junior and senior. He set both school and Sun Belt records with a mark of 69.67 meters in the hammer throw, while also ranking fourth all-time at South Alabama in the indoor weight throw at 18.24 meters. His success extended beyond the conference level, finishing fourth in the region and seventh nationally entering the 2015 postseason, while consistently ranking among the nation’s best, including 16th in the East Region and 21st nationally in 2016. In his debut season as a Jaguar, he closed the year 17th regionally and 31st in the nation, laying the foundation for a remarkable career that left a lasting mark on South Alabama track and field.
