- Princess Okafor Nweze led the way for South with 13 points, six rebounds, and three blocks off the bench as Rachel Leggett chipped in 13 points as well.

- Louisiana Tech scraped by Nicholls in their season opener with a 53-51 victory.
- The Lady Techsters were led in points by Jianna Morris, who poured in 19 Monday afternoon.
