RUSTON, La. – South Alabama Women's Basketball (6-1) will face Louisiana Tech in a road contest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston, La.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Jaguars are seeking their first win in program history against the Lady Techsters, having gone 0-24 overall. Their last matchup ended with a 78-70 loss on Nov. 7, 2024, in the Mitchell Center.
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS:
- South Alabama travels to Ruston after a dominant win over Florida A&M on Sunday, 75-54. Chrysta Narcisse had an impressive performance, totalling 12 points, six rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block.
- The Jaguars are currently 115th in the NET Rankings, a program record.
- Daniela Gonzalez, a co-captain and senior forward, currently ranks fourth in the nation in three-point percentage (56.7%).
- Beyond the arc, the Jaguars have been successful offensively and defensively, ranking 10th nationally in three-point percentage defense and 15th in three-point percentage.
SCOUTING THE LADY TECHSTERS:
- The Lady Techsters are set to play their first game in December after a 75-46 road loss to Baylor on Nov. 26.
- Louisiana Tech is strong in offensive rebounds per game, ranking 20th in the nation. Jordan Marshall, a sophomore forward, ranks fourth in the nation in the same category.
- Four members of the team average double-figures: Paris Bradley, Jordan Marshall, Jianna Morris and Alexia Weaver.
