MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Women's Basketball (4-1) will play Kennesaw State (4-1) for the first time in program history at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the Mitchell Center.
Tuesday's game will be the first meeting between the Jaguars and Owls, but the programs are connected through Head Coach
Yolisha Jackson, who began her coaching career with the program in the 2005-06 season.
SCOUTING THE JAGS:
- South Alabama enters Tuesday's matchup after a comeback win over Florida Atlantic on Thursday, 70-63. Amyah Sutton recorded a team-high 14 points, going 9-10 from the charity stripe.
- The Jaguars rank eighth nationally in three-point percentage, averaging 41.0% for the season.
- Daniela Gonzalez and Cordasia Harris are making impactful performances on the national stage, ranking ninth in three-point percentage (56.5) and 18th in offensive rebounds per game (4.4), respectively.
SCOUTING THE OWLS:
- Kennesaw State comes to Mobile after a thrilling 61-60 victory against Tennessee Tech on Nov. 15.
- Keyarah Berry has put up impressive numbers for the Owls, averaging 18 points and four rebounds per game across four appearances. Berry has also totaled 12 steals for the season.
- The Owls rank 27th nationally in field goal percentage (48.2).
