MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's and women's track and field each came away with team victories at the South Alabama Invitational this weekend at Jaguar Track.

The men's team tallied 230 points, and the women's team took first place by scoring 192 points.

TRACK EVENTS
Avery Childress finished in second place in the men's 100 meters with a time of 10.68 seconds.
Â
The top Jaguar in the men's 200 meters was
Josh Norris, who finished in seventh place with a time of 22.48.
Â
In the men's 800 meters, South Alabama went 1-2 with
Korey Shively and
Jean-Pierre Le Roux. Shively recorded the winning time of 2:00.40, and Le Roux crossed the line in 2:02.60.

In the women's 1500 meters,
Adele Maguad finished in first place with a time of 4:34.97, which puts her in the top-10 in school history.
Abbey Weitenbeck took third place, crossing the line in 5:08.04.

Rachel Hunter finished in first place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.76.
Kendal White recorded a time of 53.63 seconds to take the top position in the men's 400-meter hurdles.

Freshman
David Garcia finished in second place in the men's 110-meter hurdles, recording a time of 14.77 seconds.
Graham Collins was right behind him in third place, crossing the line in 15.01 seconds.

In the longest race of the meet,
Clervie Chagot took the top spot in the women's 3000 meters with a time of 10:37.11. Teammate
Macy Livingston finished in second, crossing the finish line at 10:37.57. On the men's side,
Kirami Yego crossed the line first with a time of 8:07.53.
Teagan Flanagan was close behind in second place with a time of 8:13.43, and
Nate Pudner was third, recording a time of 8:47.85.

The Jaguars took the top spots in each of the men's relay races on Saturday. In the 4x100 meter relay, the Jags finished with a time of 42.03 seconds. In the 4x400 event, the Jags recorded a time of 3:24.10.

FIELD EVENTS
Dorian Curry took the top spot in the men's high jump, clearing 2.04 meters on his first attempt. On the women's side,
Kiara Risher took the top spot with a height of 1.64 meters, and
Kamdyn Skinner finished second by clearing 1.54 meters.

Savannah Morgan finished tied for third place in the women's pole vault with a height of 3.20 meters. On the men's side,
Sebastian Reyneke finished in first place, clearing 4.65 meters.

The Jags took first place in the women's long jump, thanks to the 5.95 meter-effort from
Giovanna Corradi.
Tashod Wingfield finished in fourth place in the men's event with his distance of 6.92 meters.
Â
Wingfield also took first place in the men's triple jump, reaching a distance of 13.86 meters.
Iyana Johnson was the top-spot on the women's side with her distance of 12.06 meters.

In the women's shot put,
Colette Uys and
Bodine Degli-Umberti took the top two spots by throwing 15.98 meters and 14.19 meters, respectively.
Francois Prinsloo was the top Jaguar on the men's side, finishing in fourth place with a distance of 15.02 meters.

Sebastian Loschner edged out teammate Prinsloo for the top-mark in the men's discus with his throw of 53.28 meters. Prinsloo's effort of 52.16 meters was good for second place. Uys and Degli-Umberti were 1-2 in the women's discus in addition to the shot put. Uys took the top spot with her mark of 51.11 meters, and Degli-Umberti cleared 50.30 meters.

The two switched finishing places in the women's hammer, as Degli-Umberti marked 59.53 meters, and Uys reached a distance of 58.97 meters. Each of the results was a new personal-best, and Degli-Umberti sits at number five on the all-time list at South Alabama.

Prinsloo was once again the top Jaguar in the hammer throw, finishing in third place with a distance of 61.77 meters. Â

In the men's javelin,
Jacob Wentz was the top South Alabama athlete with his distance of 50.40 meters.
Hannah-Mai Vaikla was the best Jaguar in the women's javelin event, finishing in second place with a distance of 41.74 meters.
