MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Track & Field put together a strong weekend across two meets, highlighted by multiple event titles, a 4x400-meter relay victory, and a wave of all-time marks from Reuben Booysen, Terek Logan, and Emily Miles at the Crimson Classic and USSA Invitational.
Crimson Classic
South Alabama was highlighted by a victory in the men's 4x400-meter relay, as Jordan Morrison, Nieko Garnes, Marlon Miller, and Avery Childress combined to win in 3:08.64. The performance ranks second all-time in program history.
In the throws, Reuben Booysen delivered one of the top performances in program history, placing second in the hammer throw with a personal-best mark of 62.08m (203-8), moving into fourth all-time at South Alabama. He added another runner-up finish in the javelin (67.07m) to cap a strong double.
On the track, multiple Jaguars etched their names into the record book. Emily Miles ran 2:11.75 in the 800 meters to rank fourth all-time, while Brady Keller clocked 1:49.60 to move into fifth all-time in the same event. Nieko Garnes added another top-five program mark, running 51.51 in the 400-meter hurdles to rank fifth in school history.
In the field events, Terek Logan cleared a personal-best 5.40m (17-8.5) to finish second in the men's pole vault, a mark that ranks third all-time at South Alabama. Diego Andres-Dougan also entered the record book, placing fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.82m to rank eighth all-time. Will Fredrick added a third-place finish in the pole vault at 5.00m.
South Alabama also saw Iyana Johnson reach the podium with a third-place finish in the hammer throw (57.08m), while Logan Nienaber added a fourth-place showing in the women's discus (47.63m).
USSA Invitational
South Alabama carried that momentum back home, turning in a dominant performance at the USSA Invitational with multiple event titles across the board.
Hailey Padgett led the way on the track, winning the women's 100-meter hurdles in 14.77, while Alexia Jones took first in the 400 meters in 57.17. The Jaguars added depth in the event with Jakayla Kirk (third, 59.33) and Kennedy Johnson (fourth, 59.37).
In the distance events, Samantha Menikheim captured the 1500 meters in 4:59.55, leading a strong group effort that saw Katie Giles place third, Hannah Quick finish fourth, Abigail Amick take fifth, and Rylee Deignan place eighth. Kyla Sisulak added another victory, winning the 3000-meter steeplechase in 13:01.57.
In the field events, Logan Nienaber secured the women's discus title with a throw of 46.48m, while Mose Piper won the men's hammer throw (49.15m). The Jaguars also went 1-2 in the women's pole vault, with Caitlynn Morgan clearing 3.35m for the win and Payton Kanis finishing second at 3.20m.
In the jumps, Devin Dahunsi placed second in both the long jump (6.73m) and triple jump (14.01m), while Ashton Mitchell added a fifth-place finish in the long jump.
On the men's side of the track, Diego Andres-Dougan placed third in the 110-meter hurdles (15.13), while RJ Torbor finished fourth (15.30).

South Alabama travels out west next weekend to Azusa, Calif, to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 16-18.
