Live Stats vs. Troy
MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama women's soccer will travel to Troy for the second time this season with hopes to avenge its first Sun Belt Conference loss to Western Kentucky in a Sunday afternoon matchup with the Trojans.
Â
The Jaguars (10-4-2, 3-1-1 SBC) fell from first to third in league standings in a matter of 24 hours after leaping to the top of the table with their 2-1 defeat of Georgia State last Thursday, but the Hilltoppers literally topped the hill with a 1-0 defeat of Troy the following day.
Â
USA's opportunity to knock off WKU fell short last Sunday when the Bowling Green club managed a counter-attack tally in the second half to hand South Alabama its first conference and home loss of the year, Louisiana-Lafayette sliding into the league's runner-up position after a weekend sweep of UALR and Arkansas State.
Â
Troy (6-9-0, 2-3-0 SBC) is currently sixth in the table with wins over the two Arkansas outfits and losses to Texas State, WKU and Georgia State. By gametime Sunday, it will have been two weeks since a Trojan home showing, where the club is 4-2 on the year.
Â
USA is 2-0 already this year in Troy after dispatching Louisiana Tech and Jackson State en route to a Trojan Classic championship.
Â
The match will be USA''s last on the road this season. The Jags are 3-3-1 in away matches.
