JAGUAR SOCCER FALLS TO TROY IN SEASON FINALE

MOBILE, Ala. –Troy forward Jill Pinder netted the game-winning goal in extra-time, as University of South Alabama soccer fell to the Trojans, 1-0, Friday night at The Cage.

Troy’s (11-7-1, 6-5) Pinder scored the only goal of the match off of a corner kick in the 97th minute.

USA outshot the Trojans, 19-8, in the contest. Troy totaled five shots on goal, while The Jaguars managed four.

“I felt like we dominated the game tonight but we couldn’t figure out a way to put it in the net,” USA head coach Mike Varga said. “We have a young team and we are still learning, but we have to put a team away when we have the chance. We let them hang in the match today and they ended up getting the game-winner”

With the loss the Jaguars finish the season 5-14-1 overall, and 3-8-0 in SBC action.
