TROY, Ala. - Troy forward Bridget Duke scored the game-winning goal in the 26
th minute of the first half, as University of South Alabama soccer fell to the Trojans, 1-0, Friday afternoon at Trojan Soccer Complex.
"It's a match that could have gone either way," USA head coach Mike Varga said. "They found a way to score and we did not. We battled hard in trying to figure out how to score, but I give the kids credit; they didn't give up."
Troy (9-9-1, 5-6-0) outshot USA, 12-4, in the contest. The Trojans totaled five shots on goal in the match, while the Jaguars managed three.
With the loss, USA finishes the season 3-15-1 overall, and 1-9-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.
