Anna Behnsen fired a three-under 210 (67-73-70) Tuesday afternoon to tie for sixth at the 28th Annual Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate hosted by Tennessee at the Cherokee Country Club.
The 54-hole 210 was one shy of matching a career low for the sophomore. As a team, South Alabama (287-294-294—875) placed ninth at the event.
Tournament host, Tennessee, won the event by nine strokes, finishing with a three-round, 13-under 839 as they fired a blistering 11-under, 273 in the final round.
Oregon State's Kyra Ly (68-68-66—202) and Western Kentucky's Sydney Hackett (69-68-65—202) finished seven strokes ahead of the field individually.

"We got off to a solid start at this event, but struggled to build momentum over the next two rounds. With a week to prepare, we'll focus on tightening up a few key areas before our final event of the fall. The goal is to finish strong and carry some positive energy into the offseason."

•   Behnsen held a one-stroke lead after the first round after firing a career-low 67, her sixth career sub-70 round
•   The opening round 67 by Behnsen was also tied for sixth-lowest score in a round by a Jaguar golfer, and the first 67 since Catharina Lohoff in the first round of the 2022 USA Intercollegiate
•   With her third-round 70, Bensen now has 10 rounds under par during her time at South, which is tied with former Jag
Malia Uyeshiro for fourth most in program history
•   The sixth-place finish marked Behnsen's third career Top 10 finish of her career
•   Behnsen led South with 11 birdies at the tournament, and increased her team-high total this season to 30
•   Competing in her first career tournament, Murphy recorded nine birdies
