MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama women's golf head coach Marcelo Huarte announced the addition of Léa Giron (Nantes, France) and Shiloh Gilbert (Millbrook, Ala.) for the 2026-27 season.

Léa Giron | Nantes, France | Performance Center of the French Golf Federation
- Competed on both the French National Circuit and International Junior Tours while competing for the French Golf Federation
- Tied for 10th at the French Ladies Championship and tied for 32nd at the French International U21
- Captured a major international title by winning the Portuguese Girls International (2026) 
- Won the Grand Prix de Rennes (2026) with a three-round total of 215 strokes (74-68-73)
- Placed third at the Grand Prix de St. Malo (2025) held at Saint Malo Golf Club in France
- Registered a Top 10 performance with an eighth-place finish at the Grand Prix du 24 Hueres Le Mans (2025)
- Posted three top-10 finishes in France Amateur Events in 2024
- Finished tied for fourth at the R&A U16 Girls Amateur Championship (2024) held at The Berkshire Golf Club, where she earned an exemption for her performance
- Took third place at the Doral Junior Classic held in Miami, Fla., (2024) in the Girls 16–18 Division
- Secured a runner-up finish at the Grand Prix des 24 Heures Le Mans (2024) 
- Won the French U18 Championship (2023) held at Golf International d'Arcachon
- Originally committed to Kansas State

Shiloh Gilbert | Montgomery, Ala. | Ezekiel Academy
- Four-year letterwinner in golf at Ezekiel Academy
- Has played in Alabama Golf Association (AGA)/Junior Golf Association (JGA) Tournaments since 2023
- Helped Team Alabama win its ninth-straight title at Southern Junior Cup in July 2025 as Alabama finished a point-and-a-half ahead of Arkansas
- 2025 Second Team all-state selection by the Alabama AGA
- Also earned all-state honors from the AGA, receiving third-team honors in 2024
- Has finished in the top 20 in the last three Women's State Amateurs, with her best finish being 14th in 2025
- Also finished in the top 20 for the last three years in the Girls State Junior Championship, with her best finish being sixth in 2024
- Placed second in the JGA Tour Final presented by Smylie Kaufman in 2024 & 2025
- In eleven events played during the 2025 season, finished outside of the top twenty only twice 
- Finished second at the JGA Tour Final Presented by Smylie Kaufman held at Vestavia Country Club in Vestavia, Ala. (Nov. 1, 2025) with a two-round 149, just one stroke back of tournament medalist
- Won the AJGA Preview presented by Visit Sevierville/Tennessee Tourism with a 154 as she defeated Nina Porcello with a birdie in a sudden-death playoff
- Followed up with victories in two SJGT events in April and July
- Finished 14th in the 93rd Women's Amateur at RTJ Grand National (Lake) and 17th in the 62nd Alabama Girls State Junior at Valley Hill Country Club (June, 2025)
- Tied for 11th at the Moon Golf Junior Championship presented by Auburn-Opelika Tourism (June 30, 2025)
