Behnsen, Buehle and Palmeros Earn SBC All-Conference Honors

NEW ORLEANS | South Alabama women's golfers Anna Behnsen (first team), Lilian Buehle (second team) and Daniela Palmeros (third team) were each earned all-Sun Belt Conference honors as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

The three selections mark the first time since the 2006 and 2007 seasons that the program has had three players earn all-conference honors. It is also tied for second most in a season, only trailing the 1998 team, which had four players earn the honor. The three selections are the most for the program since the league went to awarding first- and second- teams in 2013. This season marks the first time a third team has been recognized.

Anna Behnsen | Sophomore
- Played in the No. 1 position in the final eight tournaments for the Jaguars during the 2025-26 season 
- Led the team with a 73.53 strokes per round average and ranked in Top 5 of the SBC in the category 
- Led team in five of 10 events including winning individual title at Inverness Intercollegiate in September (72-68-69—209, -4), winning by six strokes 
- Four top-10 finishes including three straight during fall 
- Top-10 in spring was T-third at Magnolia Collegiate at Magnolia Grove in Mobile (76-74-72—222, +6) 
- Recorded low round 67 in opening round of Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate in October (67-73-70—210, -3, T6th), one of her three sub-70 rounds during the season 
- Six rounds par-or-better and team-high 80 birdies, had squad's only two eagles during season

Lilian Buehle | Freshman 
- Ranked second on team with 74.68 stroke average and Top 35 in conference rankings 
- Did not play in fall season but played in all six spring events 
- Closed out the season at the Sun Belt Conference Championship by firing a third-round, three-under par 69 to finish tied for second after carding a new postseason record 21 
- With her Top 8 finish, Buehle became just the sixth player in program history to earn all-tournament honors at the championship event 
- Prior to the postseason, her previous best finish was a tie for sixth at Magnolia Collegiate (74-77-72—223, +7) for first top 30 of season 
- Low round of 69 in first collegiate event at UCF Challenge (77-69-73—219, +3, T35th).

Daniela Palmeros | Freshman 
- Was third on team with 74.77 stroke average Top 25 in conference rankings 
- Captured individual title in Evie Odom Invitational in October (71-68-67—206, -4) winning by three shots 
- Final round 67 was low round of year 
- Also led team and had her other 68 at Gator Invitational in March (75-74-68—217, +7, T26th) 
- Finished tied for 15th in first collegiate event at Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational hosted by New Mexico 
- Four rounds par or better and her 58 birdies were second on team
