MOBILE, Ala. – Former South Alabama men's basketball standout Tyrell Jones has signed a professional contract to play overseas for Enosis Neon Paralimni of the Cypriot OPAP League in Paralimni, Cyprus.
Jones made 67 starts with 83 appearances as a member of the South Alabama program. In 2023-24, he led the Jaguars in several categories, averaging 12.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest. Additionally, Jones totaled double figures in 19 out of 32 contests and 20 or more points in five games.
In his three seasons with South Alabama, Jones swiped 105 steals, making 90 three-pointers, and 250 free throws. The 6-foot-2 guard contributed 1.5 steals per game, which ranked seventh in the Sun Belt Conference in the 2023-24 campaign. The Chicago native also had eight games with four or more steals and five games with four three-pointers for the Jags this past season.

ENP is a club that competes in Division A of the Cypriot League with 12 other teams. The Cypriot League is currently the highest-level tier of men's professional basketball competition in the country of Cyprus.
