MOBILE, Ala. - South Alabama Head Coach Mark Calvi has been named to USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team staff for the summer of 2024.

Calvi will be the assistant coach and third base coach, with Alabama State's José Vázquez acting as Head Coach. Calvi will join Troy's Skylar Meade who will act as the pitching coach, and John McCormack from FAU who will take over duties as the hitting coach and bench coach. Braden Austen from East Carolina is the team's bullpen coach, and Clamson's Kier Meredith will be an assistant. Calvi is one of nine coaches that are making their Team USA coaching debuts. 

Coastal Carolina's Gary Gilmore will act as Skipper for the Collegiate National Teams Summer League Tour.

Training camp begins June 26 in Cary, N.C. and will lead up to the 21st USA vs Chinese Taipei International Friendship Series. The International Series team will conclude play against the Summer League Tour team on July 4th.
