MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama saw four school records fall in this week's action over four different meets across the country.
Three Jaguars competed at the Mt. SAC Relays in California.
Francois Prinsloo finished fifth in the elite group of the discus throw, marking 62.53 meters.
Kyle Rademeyer set a new outdoor pole vault record for South Alabama, clearing 5.65 meters in his third-place finish. In the high jump,
Dorian Curry tied his season-high clearance of 2.15 meters.
BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
At the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University,
Kirami Yego finished eighth in his 5,000-meter heat, crossing the line in 13:34.50, which is second in school history.
Teagan Flanagan finished his 5,000 meters in 13:58.52, a new personal-best.
On the women's side,
Lauren Tinkler and
Adele Magaud each bested the previous school record set by Magaud earlier this year. Tinkler finished in second place with a time of 16:26.04, and Magaud crossed the line in third place in 16:35.02.
LONG BEACH STATE BEACH INVITATIONAL
Prinsloo marked 62.25 meters in the men's hammer throw. On the women's side of the event,
Bodine Degli-Umberti finished in eighth place with a new personal-best 61.32 meters, tied for third-best in school history. Teammate
Colette Uys finished right behind her in ninth place with a distance of 59.99 meters, a new personal-best as well.
Magaud set another personal-best this weekend, this one in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:34.89 to finish in second place in the event.
The duo of Degli-Umberti and Uys each broke the previous school record in the women's discus. Degli-Umberti holds the new record, finishing seventh with a mark of 53.83 meters. Uys finished in eighth with a distance of 53.35 meters.
Uys also placed first in the women's shot-put event, marking 16.64 meters. Degli-Umberti recorded a distance of 14.65 meters.
High-jumper
Kiara Risher placed second in the event, clearing a height of 1.71 meters.
Sebastian Loschner competed in two events at the meet, marking 16.35 meters in the shot-put and 52.87 meters in the discus throw.
SAMFORD ALABAMA TRACK CHALLENGE
A new school record was set in the decathlon event, as
Sebastian Reyneke recorded a score of 7,270 points. In third place was
Brylan Shirley, who reached 10
th place in school history with 6,460 points.
Josh Norris finished tied-seventh in the men's 100 meters, with a mark of 10.95 seconds.
Xavier Rogers and
Avery Childress took fifth and sixth in the 200 meters, clocking in at 22.15 and 22.18 seconds, respectively.
Giovanna Corradi set a new personal-best and earned a place in South's historical top-10 in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14:01 seconds.
In the men's 110-meter hurdles,
David Garcia marked 14.87 seconds to finish in sixth place.
Kendal White finished in first place in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 53.07 seconds.
Grace Wolf set a new personal-best in the 400-meter hurdles with a second-place finish with a time of 1:02.11. The time is also sixth-best in school history.
Abbey Weitenbeck finished first in her group and took fifth place in the women's 800 meters, crossing the line in 2:21.62.
Freshman
Tyler Doty took second place in the 3000-meter steeplechase, coming in at 10:10.88.
Two Jaguars finished in the top-10 in the women's 5,000 meters, as
Clervie Chagot recorded 18:18.95 and
Macy Livingston crossed the line in 18:27.34 for sixth and seventh place.
Kamdyn Skinner finished in a tie for second-place in the women's high jump, clearing 1.63 meters.
Taviana Williams was the top-Jaguar in the women's long jump, marking 5.22 meters.
In the men's long jump,
Tashod Wingfield marked 6.90 meters to finish in second place. The distance is a new personal-record for Wingfield.
The women's triple jump event was won by Jaguar athlete
Iyana Johnson. She set a new personal-best with 12.52 meters. The freshman now ranks fifth in school history for the event.
Kira Benkmann and Johnson finished fifth and fifth in the women's hammer throw, marking 52.33 meters and 51.89 meters.
In the women's javelin,
Nichole Harting cleared 40.60 meters to finish in third place.
Mia Evensen earned third place in the heptathlon with 4,120 points.
Dimitrios Manesiotis finished in fourth place in the shot-put event, marking 15.34 meters. He also finished third in the hammer throw with a career-best 56.78 meters.

UP NEXT
The Jaguars are scheduled to participate in the Crimson Classic hosted by the University of Alabama. The meet will take place Friday and Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
