MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama looks to bounce back after almost two weeks off, traveling to Clemson, S.C., for matches against Clemson Friday and Nebraska Saturday. Both matches will be at 11 a.m.
South Alabama opened the season going 3-1, with two 7-0 wins over West Alabama, a 4-0 win over East Tennessee State and a 7-0 loss against Mississippi State. South's match against Furman scheduled for last weekend got cancelled due to weather.
The doubles duo of
Sébastien Collard and
Maxime St-Hilaire are 2-0 on the season, with a win at number one and number two.
Martin Bugaj is perfect in singles this season, posting a 3-0 record so far.
Collard is currently ranked #123 in singles and has a 2-1 record on the season.
Clemson is 4-0 on the season while Nebraska is just 1-0, with a win over Creighton over the weekend.
South leads the series against Clemson 11-5, but are just 1-0 under head coach Nicolas Brochu. South holds a 4-3 record against Clemson on the road.
The Jags are 3-0 all-time against Nebraska, with one win under Brochu. All three wins have been at neutral sites.
