MOBILE – The South Alabama men's tennis team will play its second fall tournament this weekend at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic.
The three-day event in Montgomery will start on Friday at 8 a.m. at Lagoon Park. The four Jaguars competing are
Harold van Raemdonck,
Jules Caby,
Victor Frumholz, and
Adam Bouyacoub. The Jags are joined by Alabama, Alabama State, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Tulane, Texas Tech, and Columbia.
The Jags will open against Columbia, then play either Alabama or a combination of Memphis and Georgia Tech. Due to weather, the original start time was moved up and Saturday's doubles matches will be played in the afternoon on Friday, weather permitting.
Tournament Format
Each team consists of four players, with each team playing one dual match across the three days. There will be four singles matches and two doubles matches, with each counting as one team point for the dual.
If the score is tied at the end of all four singles matches, each team will select one doubles team to compete in a 10-point tiebreaker to determine the winner.
