Head coach Nick Brochu
On doubles play: "Another long day in the books, but it was a good day. We started with doubles and had three teams. We got a great win at number one. We had Seb and Louis playing at number one and they have not played together in a long time. This time they clicked and pulled out a big win. We had Max and Jack at number two and they fought well, dropped that one in a tie breaker. It was a tough match and I believe we had some chances to close it a little earlier but we couldn't. And then at number three we dropped that match too."
On singles play: "We were facing our conference rival so I told the guys to treat the match like a conference final because that can definitely happen. Louisiana is a tough team and they didn't lose anybody from last year, very similar to us, so they were dangerous last year. I told the guys to make a statement. If we beat them this first time, we get a little mental advantage. The guys really responded well and we won five out of six singles. It was a great win. It started with Seb being dominant at number one. He's playing some high level tennis. Louis had a really rough match yesterday and bounced back today and got us a big win in three sets. Jack was very aggressive today. Javier and Martin both won a marathon, both winning in the third set. Very happy with how the guys battled and played today."
