Jag Men's Basketball's Judah Brown to represent Panama in World Cup Qualifying

PANAMAY CITY, Panama – South Alabama men's basketball newcomer Judah Brown has been selected to play for Panama during the FIBA World Cup qualifying competitions later this month.

Brown is set to begin his first year with the program after spending the previous two seasons at Saint Mary's, where he shot 37.9% from the field as a sophomore. He looks to bolster the Jaguar roster, which lost four starters from last year's team.

Panama is currently ranked 49th in the FIBA World Rankings and is in the fourth of six qualifying windows. The team is vying for one of seven spots in the Americas Region that will advance to the FIBA World Cup, which will be held next year with the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia as the host sites.

The Panamanian national team has two games scheduled this month as they will compete against the Dominican Republic on August 25 and Canada on August 29.
