MEN’S TENNIS CLOSES OUT REGULAR SEASON PLAY ON THURSDAY

MOBILE, Ala. – With the Sun Belt Conference Tournament only one week away, the University of South Alabama men's tennis team will head to Hattiesburg, Miss. on Thursday to conclude the regular season with Southern Miss.

The match will take place at 3 p.m. at the Southern Miss Tennis Facility. The Jaguars are currently 13-8 in their spring campaign, coming off a 6-1 victory over Jackson State on Tuesday.

"The guys are excited about the last match of the season and going into the conference tournament," said USA head coach Nick Brochu. "For the past two weeks, we've been talking about competing, behaving and communicating like we are playing in the conference tournament."

South Alabama swept doubles with a pair of 6-3 wins and picked up four singles matches in straight sets in their defeat over JSU.

The Golden Eagles are 15-7 overall and 5-0 at home. USA leads the all-time series with USM 13-2, after defeating Southern Miss 4-3 at the Middle Tennessee Shootout on March 28. Chao-Yu Huang leads the team with a 10-6 mark overall at the Nos. 2 and 3 spots.

"We played Southern Miss two weeks ago and finished on the good end," said Brochu. "We will make sure to have a similar result tomorrow."
