MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama baseball outfielder Nick Zaharion was named to the NCAA Starkville Regional all-tournament team, as voted on by the media.

Zaharion hit .375 with three RBI, two runs and two walks in three games in the tournament, and finished with multiple hits against Mercer in the Jaguars’ regional opener.

The Stuart, Fla., native hit .318 with a double, a triple, one home run, eight RBI and five runs in seven postseason games, including the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

He became the first Jaguar to earn NCAA Regional All-Tournament honors since P.J. Walters in 2006, and the first Jag outfielder since Ryan Mulhern and Cole Craig each were named to the 2003 NCAA Tallahassee Regional all-tournament team.
