MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team's annual Red-Blue World Series will open with game one at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Stanky Field.
The three-game series will feature game two Friday at 3:30 p.m., with the finale set for 11 a.m. Saturday. The third game will not be an "if necessary" game, and will be played regardless of the outcome of the first two contests.
Right-hander Ben Taylor will get the start for the Red squad in the series opener, and will square off with Blue southpaw Jared Gates. Left-hander Locke St. John will get the nod for the Red team in game two, while James Traylor will start for the Blue squad. Hunter Soleymani is scheduled to start the series finale for the Red, and Dillon Buhrkuhl will start for the Blue.
The Red-Blue World Series has traditionally marked the end of fall practice at South Alabama.
