SCOUTING THE PRIVATEERS
New Orleans enters the midweek contest with South Alabama coming off being swept by similar 2026 opponent in Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond, La., and have yet to win a weekend series this season. The Privateers started the season being swept by SBC member Georgia State, and have since dropped two midweek games with ULM to make an 0-5 record against SBC teams thus far. Another similar opponent on both the Jaguars and Privateers season schedules is Tulane, where UNO split its two games with the Green Wave. New Orleans will host McNeese in a Southland Conference home series after facing the Jags.
