MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's tennis is set to open the program's fall slate on Friday at the Sugarcane Classic in Youngsville, La.

The Sugarcane Classic is a three-day tournament that will open Friday, Sept. 18 and finish on Sunday, Sept. 20. Louisiana is hosting the tournament, and Tulane and West Florida are also in the field.

The Jaguars return five players this fall, including Harold van Raemdonck, Adam Bouyacoub, Jules Caby, Victor Frumholz and Deren Yigin. South Alabama welcomes Jonathan Kneer, a freshman from Tuscaloosa, Ala.

"The guys are very excited to start the fall," Coach Brochu stated. "This is a good opportunity for us to set the tone and get some good wins. Most importantly, our number one goal is to compete…and to see where we're at with all the training we've been doing."

SCHEDULE OF PLAY:
Friday, Sept. 18:

• Doubles: Tulane vs. Louisiana/West Florida vs. South Alabama
• Singles: Tulane vs. South Alabama/Louisiana vs. West Florida

Saturday, Sept. 19:

• Doubles: Tulane vs. South Alabama/Louisiana vs. West Florida
• Singles: Tulane vs. West Florida/Louisiana vs. South Alabama

Sunday, Sept. 20:

• Doubles: Tulane vs. West Florida/Louisiana vs. South Alabama
• Singles: West Florida vs. South Alabama/Tulane vs. Louisiana

Doubles will begin each day at 9 a.m. CT, followed immediately by the first round of singles. The second round of singles will not occur until after 12:20 p.m. CT.
