MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's basketball head coach Richie Riley announced the signing of German forward Lenni Kunzewitsch to the Jaguar program for the 2026-27 season.
A 6-foot-9 wing from Germany, Kunzewitsch joins the Jaguars after competing with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany's ProB league.
During regional play this past season, Kunzewitsch averaged 11.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 40.9 percent from three-point range on 66 attempts. He also connected on 51.9 percent from the two-point range and 66.7 percent from the free throw line across 11 appearances.
Kunzewitsch also appeared in 22 ProB games, averaging 4.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 52.2 percent from inside the arc and 77.3 percent from the free throw line.
"Lenni possesses a unique skill set," head coach Richie Riley said. "He has the ability to really shoot the ball while also attacking off the bounce. His length and rebounding ability will allow him to make a major impact in our zone. We're thrilled to add Lenni to our program."
Kunzewitsch becomes the sixth addition to the Jaguars' roster this offseason, joining fellow newcomers Diego Roman, Owen Kenney, Aaron Goldstein, Jalen Langsy, and Davaughn Hueitt.
