MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Tennis'
Braden Hannig was named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference in singles when the conference released its all-conference honors Wednesday.
Hannig compiled an 8-8 record in singles play on the season, including marks of 4-3 at the No. 1 position and 3-0 at No. 3. Hannig's best stretch of the season took place when he won three-straight matches on court one in straight sets. He defeated UAB's Valek 6-2, 6-3, Alcorn's Griffiths 6-3, 6-3 and Tulane's Phillips 6-3, 7-6 (7-3). In addition to those victories, Hannig also defeated opponents from Southern, Jackson State, FAU, Southern Miss and Georgia State.
Along with his strong singles play, Hannig helped his team win four doubles matches. His efforts helped South earn nine team victories on the season.
