Daniela Palmeros fired a final-round 68 and ended the day with a three-round 217 and finished tied for 26th Sunday at the Gator Invitational hosted by Florida at the Mark Bostic Golf Course.
As a team, South Alabama finished 10th in the 14-team field after carding a three-round 891 (300-396-395).Â
Florida (820) finished 20-under to take home team honors, while UF's Paula Francisco (200) held off fellow Gator teammate Siuue Wu (205) to capture individual medalist honors.

- On the tournament: "This was an elite event with some top-ranked teams, and it was a very valuable experience for us. We know we're capable of competing with these elite teams, but we also know we have to keep getting better."

Daniela Palmeros: "It was a great final round for Daniela (Palmeros). This is a very difficult golf course, and she made some big improvements after last week's event. It was a great bounce back performance that really shows her resilience."
