MOBILE, Ala. - With yet another summer in the books, South Alabama baseball players Stewart Puckett, Ryland Bozenhard, Parker Barraza, and Brennon Wright each earned All-Star nods in their respective summer ball leagues.
COASTAL PLAIN LEAGUEÂ
Playing for the Macon Bacon this season, Puckett and Bozenhard showcased their skills and earned All-Star nods. Puckett, heading into his senior year at South Alabama, put on a show at the plate this offseason, posting a .449 average in 80 plate appearances, compiling 31 hits, six walks, and 23 RBIs.
Looking to the mound, Bozenhard shone as a starting pitcher for Macon. The incoming senior finished the 2026 offseason with a 1.31 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP, pitching just over 20 innings of starting work with 22 strikeouts.Â
NORTHWOODS LEAGUEÂ
Coming out of the bullpen, Barraza was an effective closer for the Willmar Stingers, collecting seven saves in 10 appearances. In 12 2/3 innings of relief, Barraza recorded 21 strikeouts while allowing 13 hits and two walks, maintaining a 2.84 ERA.
CAL RIPKEN SR. COLLEGIATE BASEBALL LEAGUEÂ
Rounding out the list was infielder Wright, who played for the Bethesda Big Train in the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League. In 29 games this past summer, the incoming senior batted .320 with 16 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.
