LAFAYETTE, La. - South Alabama men's golf shared a fourteenth place finish at the Louisiana Classics with a team score of 866 (+2) after Tuesday's final round in Lafayette, La.

Tournament play began at 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning, when the talented 16-team field played a continuous 36-hole day with a shotgun start. The Jags were paired with players from No. 29 Texas A&M and No. 48 Little Rock on Monday.

No. 29 Texas A&M secured the team victory following Tuesday's final round carding a team score of 840 (-24) while Louisiana's Maland Potgeiger earned the individual victory. South Alabama shared the fourteenth place finish with Texas State after recording scores of 288 (E) - 288 (E) - 290 (+2).

"It's such a fine line in this sport. Everyone competes at a high level and there is no room for error. Like our home event, we made plenty of birdies and had stretches of very good golf, but made too many mistakes throughout the week. This group has plenty of talent and has shown the ability to play at a high level, but we've got to quit beating ourselves. That is where our focus will be moving forward."
