MOBILE Ala. - South Alabama (6-2) returns to Stanky Field after a five-game road stretch to host Tulane (5-3) on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY
South Alabama leads the all-time series with Tulane 29-24 in 53 total contests in the history between the two programs. The most recent meeting occurred in New Orleans when the Jags won a Wednesday night midweek match-up in the 2024 season by a 14-7 final score on April 17. The Green Wave have not been to Stanky Field since April 26, 2022, where they fell to the Jags in a 8-1 final.
SCOUTING THE GREEN WAVE
Tulane (5-3) opened the season on the West Coast with a series at LMU, where they took the rubber match and the series by a 6-2 final score in the series finale. The Wave stayed a couple more days in Los Angeles when they squared with No. 2 UCLA the following Tuesday, resulting in a Bruins victory. Harvard came to New Orleans for Tulane's home opening series and the Green Wave secured the weekend sweep after a run-rule victory in seven innings on Sunday, 11-1. Cross-town UNO battled the Wave on Tuesday night in their most recent contest, where they fell to the Privateers 11-3.
