THIBODAUX, La. - South Alabama (2-1) makes its first road trip of the season in a Tuesday night midweek matchup with Nicholls State (0-3) in Thibodaux, La., slated for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch and live streamed via ESPN+.


SERIES HISTORY
South Alabama and Nicholls have a 55-game series history, where the Jaguars lead the all-time series 37-18. The two programs met last season and saw South Alabama leaving with a 2-0 victory at Stanky Field.


SCOUTING THE COLONELS
The Colonels opened the 2026 campaign in a three-game set against No. 15 Tennessee in Knoxville, where they were swept in the series. The two programs matched in a Saturday doubleheader and dropped the first game in a final score of 1-5, and the second 2-12, after falling in Friday's contest by a score of 0-10. Tuesday's midweek against South marks the Colonels' home opener.
