Last Time Out
• Trailing by 18 with 7:45 remaining, South Alabama mounted one of its most improbable rallies of the season, storming back to defeat Arkansas State 92–88 in overtime Saturday afternoon at First National Bank Arena.
• With 7:45 left in regulation, Arkansas State extended its lead to 70–52, putting the Jaguars on the brink before South Alabama responded with a decisive 40–18 surge over the final 7:45 of regulation and overtime combined.
• At the 5:19 mark, Adam Olsen buried a transition three-pointer off a turnover to cut the deficit to 75–63 and ignite the comeback.
• Olsen struck again with 3:21 remaining, knocking down another three-pointer to trim the margin to four at 77–73 and shift the momentum.
• With 2:46 to play, Chaze Harris attacked the lane for a layup to pull South Alabama within two.
• After a late free throw made it 83–80 with four seconds remaining, Harris delivered the defining play — drilling a running, off-balance three-pointer through contact and converting the free throw to complete a four-point play, tying the game at 83–83 and forcing overtime.
• In the extra period, Randy Brady scored inside at the 4:46 mark to give South Alabama its first lead since the opening minutes, and Harris sealed the victory by knocking down four free throws in the final 1:38.
• Harris finished with 30 points, five assists and three steals, scoring 16 points after halftime and in overtime.
• Olsen added 27 points and connected on 7-of-15 from beyond the arc, including four second-half three-pointers during the rally.

Notes You Need to Know

• South Alabama is 14–5 this season in games decided by 10 points or fewer. Six of those contests have come down to the final possession, with the Jaguars holding a 5–3 record in those games — including three overtime victories.
• The Jaguars close their regular-season road slate Monday in a matchup originally scheduled for Jan. 24 that was postponed due to winter weather.
• At Arkansas State, Olsen (27) and Harris (30) combined for 57 points in the overtime win.
• Two nights earlier at Southern Miss, Cooper (34) and Harris (26) teamed up for 60 points in the Jaguars' seventh straight win over the Golden Eagles.
