MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Athletics has announced its home game themes for the 2025 football season.
The Jaguars will play six home games in 2025, opening against Morgan State on Saturday, Aug. 30. Five of South's six games will be played on Saturdays with the matchup against Arkansas State being played on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The opener against Morgan State will serve as South Alabama's faculty and staff appreciation game. The following week against Tulane, the Jags will pay tribute to the city of Mobile with the #OurCity game. After a road game at Auburn, South will return home to face Coastal Carolina in the Sun Belt Conference season opener. That game will highlight teachers in the community with the Extra Yard for Teachers celebration. It will also serve as USA Day.
The Tuesday night contest against Arkansas State will be USA Health Night at Hancock Whitney Stadium where USA honors health care workers and providers. The annual homecoming game will take place on Nov. 1 when the Jags face Louisiana. That game will also serve as family weekend for the university, and South Alabama will induct its newest Athletics Hall of Fame class. The home schedule concludes on Nov. 22 against Southern Miss. South will honor its seniors prior to the game, and will honor the men and women who serve, or have served, our country with Military Appreciation Day. The game against Southern Miss will also host the South Alabama Honor Band.
