MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Football has made additions to its future nonconference schedules by adding games against Kentucky and Jacksonville State.
The Jaguars will play at Kentucky on Sept. 26, 2026 while the series against Jax State will be a home-and-home, starting in Jacksonville on Sept. 25, 2027 with a return trip to Mobile set for Sept. 20, 2031. The Wildcats and Gamecocks are both first-time opponents for South Alabama.
Kentucky will become the seventh school from the Southeastern Conference that South Alabama has squared off against. The Jaguars will then visit Florida in 2027 to mark another team off that list. Jacksonville State represents the fourth, in-state FBS opponent that South will have played. When the Jags and Gamecocks kick off in 2027, Alabama will become the only in-state FBS program that South Alabama has not met on the gridiron.
The Jaguars are currently scheduled to open the 2026 season against Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, Sept. 5 inside Hancock Whitney Stadium.
