Nine Jaguars Earn All-Conference Recognition

MOBILE, Ala. – Led by Kentrel Bullock and Nehemiah Chandler, nine South Alabama Football players earned all-conference recognition when the Sun Belt Conference released its postseason all-conference awards Thursday morning.

In addition to Bullock and Chandler landing spots on the All-Sun Belt First Team, wide receiver Devin Voisin and linebacker Blayne Myrick garnered second team honors. Offensive lineman Kenton Jerido also earned all-conference recognition by earning a place on the third team. Tirrell Johnson, Darius McKenzie, Malachi Preciado and Christopher Wallace Jr. all rounded out South Alabama's postseason awards with honorable mention recognition.

Bullock finished the 2025 season as the top rusher in the Sun Belt Conference, leading the league with 1,085 yards. Those 1,085 yards set a new single-season school record at South Alabama and ranked him 18th in all of college football. Bullock scored 14 rushing touchdowns on the season, the second most in the conference and the most among all running backs in the league. The 14 rushing touchdowns also ranked 12th in the FBS. The senior running back added a receiving touchdown during the year to give him 15 total touchdowns on the season. That total was good for second in the Sun Belt Conference and ninth in all of college football. Bullock's 1,085 rushing yards came on 218 carries, giving him an average of 5.0 yards per carry and 90.4 yards per game. Bullock was named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week for a week 13 performance that included 187 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, both of which were career highs. Bullock finished the season ranked 24th nationally in rushing yards per game, 49th nationally in total points scored and 55th in scoring per game. The Columbia, Miss. native rushed for over 100 yards four times this season, and found the end zone in 10 of South's 12 games. He scored multiple touchdowns in four contests.

Chandler was one of the best defensive backs in the nation in 2025, finishing the season third nationally in total passes defended at 15 and third in passes defended per game at 1.36. Those numbers put him at the top of the Sun Belt Conference in each category. His 15 passes defended were a combination of 13 pass breakups and two interceptions. Both of his interceptions occurred in back-to-back games against Troy and Arkansas State. Chandler had multiple pass breakups in five games this season, including three in South Alabama's win at Georgia State. In addition to his passing defense, Chandler compiled 32 tackles on the year, including 2.5 tackles for loss.

Voisin ended his storied South Alabama career by leading the Jaguars in receiving once again. Voisin tallied 775 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 67 receptions. He averaged 64.6 yards per game, 11.6 yards per reception and had a long catch of 65 yards. Voisin's 5.6 receptions per game ranked him 23rd nationally and he finished 52nd in the country in receiving yards. He ranked sixth in the Sun Belt in receptions, sixth in receptions per game, seventh in the conference for total receiving yards and seventh in receiving yards per game. The Crestview, Fla. native also played a big role on special teams for the Jaguars, returning 11 punts for 125 yards.

For the second-straight season, Myrick finished the year as South Alabama's top tackler. The Sun Belt Preseason Defensive Player of the Year compiled 84 total tackles on the year which ranked 14th in the Sun Belt, and his 7.5 tackles per game ranked him 76th nationally. Myrick also pitched in six tackles for loss, three pass breakups and three quarterback hurries for the Jaguars. The Fairhope, Ala. native recorded double-digit tackles in three games throughout the course of the year, including his best game of the season against Arkansas state in which he recorded 13 total tackles and three tackles for loss.

Jerido proved to be one of the most versatile linemen in the country this season by taking snaps at all five positions on the offensive line throughout the course of the season. Jerido helped pace an offensive line that finished the season as a top-20 rushing offense nationally, ranking 20th in the country in rushing yards per game at 199.8. That number ranked fourth in the Sun Belt Conference and the Jaguars also finished third in the league in rushing touchdowns with 30. Jerido's blocking helped produce Kentrel Bullock as the league's top running back.

McKenzie and Wallace finished the season tied for second in total tackles on South's roster with 71 apiece. McKenzie added four tackles for loss and a sack while Wallace tallied three tackles for loss, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Johnson ended the season with 54 total tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one interception and two forced fumbles. Preciado started all 12 games at center for the Jags' offensive line, and helped anchor a top-20 rushing offense nationally.
