ATHENS, Ga. – Braden Hannig turned in a solid performance for South Alabama Men's Tennis at the ITA South Sectionals over the weekend.
Hannig opened the tournament in the main draw round of 32, but fell to Georgia's Santiago Giamichelle 6-1, 6-1 to bump him to the consolation bracket. In his first round of consolation play, Hannig picked up a victory over Louisville's Niccolo Baroni (3-1, ret.). In his final match of the tournament, Hannig fell 6-3, 6-2 to Purdue's Nour Fathalla.
The close of ITA Sectionals marks the end of fall play for Hannig. His teammates will finish their fall seasons at the Battle at the Beach on Sunday.
