Box Score MOBILE, Ala. -Â
Cam Hill stretches 7.1 innings to close out the Dukes in the series opener, 7-4.
Hill's 7.1 innings led to only five hits and two walks. His run allowed was credited to him after he exited the game. Hill finished his night with three strikeouts, two of them in the seventh inning, his third time through the order.Â

JG Bell homerun made it 3-0 early.

QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi
On
Cam Hill getting better throughout his outing:Â Well, he found his changeup, you know, he found his changeup in the second or third inning and then it was probably a 50/50 mix, and he dumped some sliders in there too. He had a decent velocity tonight, up to 89-90 but just, you know, limited the free passes and threw that changeup in there, which is the best pitch in baseball for me, a located fastball and changeup that you can throw.
On the offensive performance tonight: The first inning
Will Turner leads us off, and then Brennan gets hit, Lucas (Ismaili) moves him over, and we safety (squeeze), and then we run into a two-run home run. So we scored three. It was a little unconventional. I was almost like "dang, man, we gave away some outs. The winds blowing out do we really want to do this?" But then I'm like, "This is our identity. This is how we practice and this is how we need to play and we can't get too far behind. We need to get out ahead, and the numbers say man we're now 17-1 after the fifth or sixth when tied, so I like those odds. So our goal is to be ahead going into the second half of the game, and through any means necessary, and our guys know that. Again, we practice that way. And you know the first half of our BP is not just BP we beebunt, and they take it seriously, and they know this is what we got to do.
Micah Morgan, arguably our most dangerous hitter; he puts it down.
Lucas Ismaili with some homerun power; he puts it down. They're all willing to do what they need to do to get a guy 90 feet closer and touch home plate.
