MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Men's Tennis will open its pursuit of a Sun Belt Conference Championship Friday when it kicks off the Sun Belt Tournament against Louisiana Thursday morning.

After going 4-4 in Sun Belt play this season, South enters the tournament as the No. 4 seed. Louisiana also holds a 4-4 record in league play this season, but the Jaguars won the head-to-head meeting on March 24 in Mobile. After taking the doubles point, South got singles wins from Rostislav Halfinger,
Braden Hannig and
Juan Accossatto to secure the team victory.
USA owns an 11-7 advantage in the all-time series with the Ragin' Cajuns, including wins in six of the last seven meetings. The two schools last met in the conference tournament in 2021 when the Jags claimed a 4-0 victory.
Should the Jags advance in the tournament, they will face the winner of Georgia Southern versus either Coastal Carolina or James Madison. The tournament bracket can be found
