The Jaguars have historically dominated the Trojans with a 22-4 advantage all time. South has claimed eight-consecutive victories over Troy. The schools met twice a season ago with one match during the regular season and one in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Jags won both contests.
In its last contest, South Alabama defeated Louisiana by a score of 4-1. The Jags were led by strong efforts from Rostislav Halfinger and
Braden Hannig, who won both their doubles and singles matches on the day.
Juan Accossatto also pulled off a clutch singles victory in tiebreak fashion to give the Jags the match-clinching fourth point.
