NORFOLK, Va. - The Jags prepare for their first out-of-state conference series against Old Dominion and first regular season matchup between the two teams. 

The series history dates back to 1983 with the all-time record between the two sides even at 3-3. The last time USA and ODU have shared the field was in the 1990 SBC Tournament in Mobile which the Monarchs won 8-2. The Jags and Monarchs played each other three times in the 1983 Sun Belt Tournament (2-1) in Norfolk and twice in the 1984 Sun Belt Tournament (1-1) in Mobile. 

ODU enters the weekend 13-11 with a 2-4 record in conference play. The Monarchs have a midweek win against #11 East Carolina, took the series over Georgia Southern, and was swept at Louisiana. Old Dominion has a 13-7 record at home.

BACK TO HIS OLD DOMINION
RS-Senior Robbie Petracci returns back to his former school wearing a new uniform. Petracci played in 99 games across three seasons for the Monarchs, batting a career .310 and working as an everyday starter in 2022.
