South Alabama set to travel to Eastern Michigan for second MAC-SBC matchup

NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt and Mid-American Conferences announced the second round of matchups for the MAC-SBC Challenge Monday afternoon, with the South Alabama women's basketball team traveling to Eastern Michigan on Feb. 10. The matchup was decided based on real-time NET rankings.
 
South Alabama opened the MAC-SBC Challenge on Nov. 9, and got a 77-55 win over Central Michigan. In the first round of the MAC-SBC Challenge, the Sun Belt women came out hot, claiming nine wins over MAC teams, while dropping just three games.
 
South Alabama is currently 7-12 on the season, and 0-7 in conference play. Eastern Michigan holds a 5-11 record, going 2-4 in MAC action. February's meeting will be the first ever between the two programs.
 
Each MAC-SBC Challenge game will be carried on an ESPN platform.
