Jags to Face ‘Dons in WNIT Tilt on Tuesday

MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball (17-18, 5-13 SBC) will face Purdue Fort Wayne (20-13, 12-8 Horizon) in a Tuesday-night tilt in the second round of the WNIT at 6:00 p.m. CDT at Gates Sports Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.

SERIES HISTORY:
Tuesday's match-up will be the Jaguars' first against the Mastodons in program history.

SCOUTING THE JAGS:
  • South Alabama faces the 'Dons after a 73-65 victory over Alcorn on Saturday. Notable performers include Cordasia Harris (20 pts, 9 reb), Diawna Carter-Hartley (10 pts, 9 reb, 7 ast) and Tamara Ortiz (83.3 FT%).

  • The 'Dons finished their regular season with an 18-12 mark, including a win over Purdue.
  • Alana Nelson leads the Mastodons, averaging 15.70 points and 5.24 rebounds per game.
