MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's tennis will open its 2024 season with three-straight matches at home this weekend.
The Jaguars open the season Friday at 2 p.m. CT when in-stat rival Samford comes to town. Following the match with the Bulldogs, the Jaguars will host another in-state opponent in West Alabama on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT. Then, to cap off the weekend, Southern will visit Mobile on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT.
South Alabama sports a roster balanced between returners and newcomers to the program. Players returning from a season ago include
Juan Accossatto,
Jack Clements,
Braden Hannig and
Javier Montoya. The Jags also welcomed three new additions to the team in the offseason in South Carolina State transfer Rostislav Halfinger and a pair of freshman foreigners in Theo Mottier and Harold van Raemdonck.
