MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Football conducted its second scrimmage of fall camp Saturday night under the lights of Hancock Whitney Stadium.
The defense dominated the scrimmage in the early going with several stops, including a few takeaways. As the night went on, South's offense began to pick up the pace, finding the endzone on two drives late in the nearly two-hour session. The offense went on to score again an additional two times when the scrimmage shifted to a red-zone session.
The Jags will take Sunday off before entering the final week of fall camp. USA will then shift its attention to game week when it begins preparation for the season opener at Tulane.
Kickoff versus the Green Wave is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Yulman Stadium.
