MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama sophomore outfielder Will Turner was named Second Team All-Sun Belt, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Turner finished the season hitting a team-high .349 while finishing with a 1.051 OPS in 54 games (all starts). He finished 75-for-215 at the plate, with 30 of those hits coming as extra-base hits. He finished with 17 doubles, four triples, and nine home runs while scoring 51 runs and knocking another 52. Turner finished the year with a .591 slugging percentage and a .460 on-base percentage, while also recording 10 stolen bases (on 14 attempts).

The sophomore finished the year with 33 consecutive games reaching base and recorded a season-high 12 game hitting streak. He also recorded 21 multiple-hit games and 12 multiple-RBI games.

Turner ranked among the leads in the conference in hits and batting average, while also ranking in the top 100 in the nation in bases on balls, hits, and triples. He also ranked in the top 150 in the nation in bases on balls per game, doubles, on-base percentage, total bases, and triples per game, while also ranking in the top 250 in batting average and slugging percentage.

He was ranked as the 41st-best outfielder in the nation by D1baseball.
