Quotable from coach Nick Brochu
"It was a good match. Southern Miss had a good win yesterday, they were running high, super hyped up. It was important for us to play solid doubles. We couldn't drop the doubles point because they would have carried on the momentum they had yesterday. We played amazing doubles, very solid. We were in the position to win on all three courts, and we took the doubles point. After that, we knew that we were very solid and felt comfortable at a few positions, and those guys got us on the board really quick. We won six first sets. Seb just dominated his opponent and finished extremely quick. Jack took the lead as well, up a set and up a break so early in the match. It really gave the guys who had a close first set a chance to relax. We got the momentum after doubles, and from there we never really let it go. I am very proud of my guys. We were really loud. Even the guys who were a little behind on the score, they kept pushing and kept putting the pressure on. We only needed three more points after winning doubles, but it looked like we really wanted all seven. I am very proud of my guys for that. We played all out, played extremely hard until the match was over. Great attitude today. Now we've got to get ready for tomorrow, we don't know who we will play yet but Troy and Georgia Southern are very competitive. We had great battles against them. This is conference tournament, so we've got to bring our A game."
