NEW ORLEANS | South Alabama wide receiver
Caullin Lacy was named the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the Jags' 38-14 victory over Louisiana Tech this past weekend.
Lacy returned a punt for a touchdown against the Bulldogs, the first of the season and the second-longest in school history. He took the punt from the Bulldogs in the first quarter and returned it 57 yards for the score just four minutes into the game to give South Alabama a two-touchdown lead at the time. It was just the third punt return for a touchdown in program history, and the first since Tra Minter's 75-yard touchdown return versus Alabama State (10/13/18).
He also hauled in three passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in the win.
