 All-Time Series
South Alabama owns a 43-23 all-time lead over Southeastern Louisiana in a series that dates back to 1984. The Jags defeated the Lions 14-4 at Stanky Field in 2019, which marked the last meeting between the schools. USA is 5-11 all-time under head coach Mark Calvi.

South Alabama leads the all-time series with Alabama State 18-2 after defeating the Hornets in two games in 2019, which marked the last time the schools met. The Jags have won the last six meetings in the series, dating back to the 2016 Tallahassee (Fla.) NCAA Regional. USA is 10-2 all-time against ASU under head coach Mark Calvi. 

SIMINGTON IN NATIONAL, SBC RANKINGS
Right fielder Miles Simington ranks 11th nationally in hits per game (1.75), and 20th in batting average (.420). Simington leads the Sun Belt Conference in batting average, ranks second in hits (42), tied for third in RBIs (29), fourth in on-base percentage (.453), tied for fourth in doubles (9) and triples (2), and sixth in total bases (61) and OPS (1.093).

HIT STREAKS, ON-BASE STREAKS
Simington carries a team-best 24-game on-base streak into the week, having reached base in every game he has played this season. Will Turner and Diego Altamirano have reached base safely in 13 straight games, while Erick Orbeta carries an 11-game on-base streak into the week. Turner has the longest team hitting streak at four games entering Tuesday's contest with SLU. 

JAGS IN NATIONAL, SBC RANKINGS
The South Alabama pitching staff ranks 12th nationally in hits allowed per nine innings (7.24), and 14th in WHIP (1.21). The Jags lead the SBC in fewest hits allowed (189) and runs allowed (119), third in ERA (3.98), earned runs allowed (104) and walks allowed (95), and fourth in saves (9). 

MIDDLETON AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS IN WALKS
Left fielder/designated hitter Charles Middleton ranks fourth in the Sun Belt Conference in walks (19) entering the week. Middleton has drawn at least one walk in his last four contests, and six in his last seven games.

158 AND COUNTING
Shortstop Santi Montiel has started 158 consecutive games - every game since he joined the program in 2019 - with his 150th coming in the series finale with UT Arlington on March 20.

LEADING AFTER 7 INNINGS
The Jaguars are 14-0 when leading after seven innings this season, but are 0-9 when trailing after seven frames and 2-1 when the score is tied through seven.

OUTHITTING THE OPPOSITION
South Alabama is 16-3 when outhitting opponents this season, but is 0-7 when being out-hit and 0-2 when hits are tied. 

STOKES AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS IN DOUBLES
First baseman Hunter Stokes ranks tied for second in the Sun Belt Conference in doubles (10) entering the week. Stokes recorded his team-leading 10th double of the season in Sunday's series finale at Georgia State. 

JAGUAR RUN PRODUCTION
The Jags scored 11 or more runs in four straight games from March 18-22, spanning a three-game series with UTA and a midweek contest against Auburn, but have scored eight or less in seven straight games. In its last seven contests, USA is averaging 4.7 runs per game.

WALKS ALLOWED
South Alabama has issued 21 walks in its last four games while striking out 33 batters in 32 2/3 total innings pitched. The Jags have allowed 27 earned runs in that span.

RUNNERS IN SCORING POSITION
USA is batting .298 (98-for-331) with runners in scoring position this season, led by Miles Simington who is hitting .457 (16-for-35) with RISP.

JAGS AT STANKY FIELD
South Alabama is batting .305 with 22 doubles, seven home runs, five home runs, 85 RBIs, 99 runs scored, 17 stolen bases and .409 team on-base percentage in 12 home games this season. Miles Simington leads the team with a .442 batting average (19-for-43) at Stanky Field, followed by Will Turner at .400 (18-for-45) and Hunter Stokes at .378 (17-for-45). The Jaguar pitching staff has posted a 2.67 ERA with five saves, 118 strikeouts against 38 walks in 108 innings pitched while limiting opponents to a .198 batting average at home this year.

DEFENSE IN NIGHT GAMES
The Jaguar defense has posted a .978 fielding percentage in 12 night games this season with 10 total errors under the lights. USA has been charged with four errors in its last three night games, with two coming in the series opener at Louisiana (March 25) and two in the series opener at Georgia State (April 1).
